Without experiencing this, it's probably hard to imagine.
In fact, very few wrestlers stick out in people's minds the way that Jeff and I do.

This is a very exciting time.
More people watching TNA means more people exposed to the other wrestlers on the card too...as long as they're good
enough to hang around with the rising standards.

    What a tool.

How to win friends and influence people, Van Damn style.

Jeff Hardy is a fat mess and fast becoming a disgrace to the industry. And Van Damn isn't half the star he thinks he is. 'Nobody knew' Kurt angle, eh Rob?

I'm not normally a big fan of real-life violence, but I hope somebody really stiffs that guy during some match soon...

Jeff Hardy really could have meant something I believe. I thought he would have added viewers but it hasn't happened.

In the WWE, he was the top babyface on Smackdown for the guts of 12 months as was insanely over.

In TNA he's just another guy.

For me, RVD while I always have liked him was never going to be a difference maker in the way Hardy could have been.

The way I see it, these guys were more over in WWE. They were doing more "high-risk" stuff than most of the rest of the roster, which was good there. But with the X Division, TNA has folks that can do it better. They may draw some more for being big names, without being ancient. I vaguely remeber hearing before that RVD would help whoever he joined edge out the other company.. Didn't quite go that way, eh?

Good God RVD is a total toolbox he needs to focus on wrestling and not talking at all. Every time he opens his mouth bullsh1t pours out which is a shame because he's a good wrestler and a great charachter, I really like watching him wrestle and his laid back attitude is cool.
Please Rob keep your arrogant mouth shut from now on.

Am I the only one who simply do not like RVD? I did not like him in WWE and I don't like him now. His character never clicked for me and he never had me interested in his wrestling.

Lads is this the same RVD that bitched about Hunter and Austin holding him down?

I admit that I drift in and out of TNA, can some of the TNA regulars highlight his drawing power? The ratings with him as champ haven't exactly dwarfed AJ's reign now have they?

Any recent ratings boom is due to the ECW old lads coming back and drawing some of the older ECW fanboys back.

I am sure this is great for morale in the dressing room though.

RVD has the biggest ego in wrestling - bar none. Pay him no attention.

I loved RVD when he first came to WWE.....for about 5 matches, and years and years later he is still doing the exact same thing with the exact same moveset, hell he even looks exactly the same, he got stale to me pretty fast, ive never understood why people wanted him back in wwe so much.

Hardy is an example of a guy who was good with Vince and the wwe machine behind him. Probably half the wwe audience(kids/non-internet) think when he left wwe, he left wrestling. They weren't going to all of sudden no longer watch wwe and watch Impact instead

Having met & got autographys of about 30 Tna wrestlers I have to admit.I wouldn't swap one of the signatures for Jeff Lardy or Rob Van couldn't give a Dam.I as excited meeting AJ & Joe than I was meeting Angle or any ex wwe star.Meeting L.A.X was the best i've a class picture of me & Hernandez going head to head. The lesser known guys have a lot more time for the average fan than air headed Stars.By the way Rob outside of WWE you should start refering to yourself as a Wrestler.Lady Gaga or someone actually famous worldwide are stars not a wrestler who wishes ecw was still around so he could be big fish in a small pond.

Even if he is sounding a bit of a tool of these days, based on the audience responses back around 2001-03, RVD deserved at least one world title in that period. Oddly, he won it in 2006, when his popularity had waned a fair bit, and we know what happened shortly after. :D

He was definitely competing with the Rock for the most over face in the company in his earlier WWE days.

Always preferred Matt to Jeff, but i'm probably in the minority there!

I'm the same. Jeff was great as part of the hardys but Matt was able to advance and not have to rely on doing the same spots from the early 00s.

I used to prefer Matt back in the day. Then it was jeff.

Now I don't like either of them they are just The Lardy Boyz to me now.

Kevin Nash got people talking with his Twitter remark regarding Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy. "RVD said Jeff Hardy and him are rock stars," Nash wrote on Thursday night. "In my prime, I was selling out 30,000 plus seat domes. They can't draw 1,000 on the road. WTF?"

It appears that Nash was referring to a commentary that Van Dam posted on his website on the day of the TNA Hardcore Justice show that took place on August 8. "I'd imagine a lot of the old TNA guys are feeling like they're taking a back seat," Van Dam wrote. "The thing is...you can't argue with the numbers. Last week TNA broke new all-time records for ratings! TNA needed a change. The 6-sided ring and the great technical wrestlers -that nobody knew-wasn't working.

"TNA brought in two rock stars, and look at the company now! Dixie often points out how hiring Jeff Hardy and RVD started a whole new era, why do some of the wrestlers not see it? Too, young, too green, too selfish to have the correct perspective. Whereas some of the TNA 'stars' are lucky to get recognized walking around the studios, Jeff and myself live like actual celebrities, signing autographs and taking pictures EVERYWHERE we go.

"Without experiencing this, it's probably hard to imagine. In fact, very few wrestlers stick out in people's minds the way that Jeff and I do. WE love our fans and we love their love. TNA is blowing up. Good things will come our way and I see it all happening now. This is a very exciting time. More people watching TNA means more people exposed to the other wrestlers on the card too...as long as they're good enough to hang around with the rising standards." You can read the full commentary at RVD.com.

Powell's POV: I spoke to a couple of TNA regulars today who said Van Dam has serious heat in some locker room circles over those comments, so I assume this is what Nash was referring to in that Twitter post last night. I'm not sure why it's taken so long to boil over, but my guess is that it's because Van Dam went on hiatus shortly after he wrote that commentary.

    Hypocritical; probably. Wrong; probably not..

Can't get why Nash is so bitter sounding.
He's giving out that rvd and jeff don't bring in the numbers at house shows?

Then why doesn't he get off his arse and go on a few tours?!
