    Mmm change the disc...

What a blinding insight. Why didn't I think of that myself?

Maybe it's because I want to keep the disc and get a replacement bike that allows me to utilise it's aero advantages????

If I understand the issue, it's that the P4 has been optimised for use with a flat disc, which is cheap.

So your expensive bike-changing exercise may end up offering worse aerodynamics than just flogging your expensive disc and buying a cheapo flat one.

I'll happily swap my flat Planet-X disc for your Zipp. I won't even charge you for it. :D

As much as I hate agreeing with Lumen.......

The bulgy discs were designed to overcome the non-aero limitations of older frames (pre p4). Once the frames got properly aero the bulgy discs became obsolete.

A frame that fits the wheel will be, by the very fact the wheel fits, less aero.

Your call. I'll swap you my p2c. That will take your disc. Then I can put my zipp 900 disc on the p4 :)

Can you please post/send the full spec of the bike?

    Thx in adv,

The detailed spec of the bike is as follows:

    Cervelo P4 Size 51 c/w Cervelo seatpost
Oval A900 Laminar Upgraded Bars with red carbon extensions and levers
Zipp 300 carbon chainset 172.5 39/53 rings and matching Zipp TI bottom bracket
SRAM 900 Carbon bar end shifters
    Campagnolo Record Carbon front mech
    SRAM Rival Rear Mech
SRAM Rival front brake with Zipp Carbon Compatible Pads (integrated Cervelo rear brake)
    Selle Italia SLR saddle
    Shimano Dura Ace SL pedals
    Genesis Stem 100mm

I would mention that these bikes are quite complex to build so having a full build also represents a worthwhile cost saving.

    Thanks for asking.
