ive been afew days on a new weight gain program and im comming to grips with the high calorie diet.

I spent half the day wandering around the kitchen thinking 'what can i eat now' which is bound to happen since the person who does the shopping also goes to weight watchers and in the end i weighed out 100g of dry porrige and forcing it into me.

so im looking some ideas on food to eat that is somewhat popular in ireland... unlike beef jerky which every other site seems to say i should get

im trying to get down 2 liters of milk every day,
i plan to buy a few bags of nuts, peanut butter, couple of banannas next time i go to the shop. i have chickens so eggs are fine..althought i can imagine how i could possibly eat more than one or two in a day.

just anyone tips or ideas from personal experience?

Nuts, milk, and those sites are right beef jerky is a great snack.

If you can't eat more than one or two eggs a day (due to volume rather than taste) then you can't forget eating big.

i'm on a weightloss diet at the moment and i could measily eat 3 eggs a day.
    3 boiled eggs is nothing.
An 4 egg omlette isn't exactly huge.
One point to consider though is that the size of eggs varies alot. I don't live in ireland and I reckon the eggs here are a little small, the chicken breasts are massive though :D

How much your eating will affect weight gain or loss more than what your eating.

Eggs are a good source of protein and fats.
suitable for all diets. As said above. its the quantity that makes it a weight loss or gain diet

    Its all about the amount.

Eggs are great when losing fat or gaining muscle, it all comes down to how many calories a day you're eating.

It wouldn't matter if you buttered a steak and had it in a sambo for breakfast once you are eating a calorie deficit for the day. Although such a magnificent sambo wouldn't leave you many calories for the rest of the day to play with.

I used to work with a former pro bodybuilder, who said he and the other pros used to smoke hash to help them eat the huge quantities of food they'd eat every day. He said the eating bit was much tougher than the training.

That's the first and only time I've heard of someone deliberately bringing on the munchies!
