UPC "Not subscribed to channels"

Had UPC for 3 years now and no problems, moved into a new house and everything was set up without a hassle.

Three days later, my TV has died. I pay for the Digital Select pack.

Every channel except for 101, 107, 834 and a pile of radio channels has "I'm sorry you have not subscribed to this channel" on it. Box reset does nothing, re-seat of card does nothing.

Customer services want to send an engineer, no chance of that till next Wednesday due to work.

    Anyone else had this before?

I'm still getting this from yesterday - when i called them up they said it was a system wide issue. Yea on MMDS by any chance?

Cable to the door, so no wireless. She did say that she would be surprised if it didnt come back on its own, so it must be system wide.

I've no antenna either but my estate is all cabled from one small MMDS antenna and the end of the estate.

Anywho, called them up and its still a 'large system issue' & 'still under investigation'
I've asked for my account to be credited for the days that I'm out of service and the lady on the phone just applied for that for me while on the phone.
Now, if it happens is a different thing!

If they don't bring them to the small claims court.

Apparently they're working on it in the area today. Its now 6pm though, so I bet they've stopped.

So probably no TV till Monday at least. Great.

    Yup, same here.
Keep a record of how many days your without service to put in for a refund/credit for those days without service

My service has been restored! Yay. Well, I've just got back from work and noticed it working.
Now to call them tomorrow to secure my compensation for lost of service for the past 5 days :)

Mine is back online too after the engineer replaced the small box with one of the older big boxes. He said there was software problems with the new small boxes; not sure if I buy that as it seems to be related to location.

Someone else in the estate collared him as he came in his big UPC van, saying they had no TV either!

I think it turned out to be something to do with the cards and their pairing with the set top boxes. That would explain why my better half had to give them the serial number of the card and the STB and why when they replaced your STB it 'fix' the issue.
