    Hi guys,

can anyone tell me what is the legal allowance for time off after working 6 day weeks on shift work. The shifts vary, usually starts 2 morning, 2 afternoon and 2 night, 2 days off (48 hours) then back to the same pattern? Is this right I feel like there should be an extra day off or one less day work before?

All advice appreciated, I know its good to have a job but I'd prefer to live at home as opposed to where I work!

Sorry I seemed to miss this thread.

Under the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997 you have an entitlement to 11 hours of daily rest per 24 hour period and 1 period of 24 hours rest per week preceded by a daily rest period (11 + 24)

    Hope that helps
