question related to thread: if i already have an irish itunes account, how do i integrate a us one? is it as easy as signing out of my irish a/c on the phone and into the us one?

how do i get a us account? fake address/zip code?

Yes it's as simple as logging out of one account and into another. You can't register a credit card to the account so if you want to buy something you need to get someone in the USto get you iTunes vouchers or buy them on eBay etc.*

Instructions for getting a US account here:


1. Launch iTunes
2. Log out of your account
3. Scroll down the iTunes page and hit the flag on the right
4. Select your country of interest
5. Try to buy a random FREE app
6. iTunes will ask you for your credentials, hit open a new account
7. Accept the terms
8. Enter a valid email, pick a password and so on. Hit next
9. Select “none” as the payment method. Then fill in the form with some random address in the country you picked (Google maps is your friend)
For the US for example, you might want to use Jobs’ home address: 432 Santa Rita Ave*Palo Alto, CA 94301. Phone number:*818-3039483
10. Finalize & click the validation link in your email

thank you, job done! oh and to add to the thread the reason i want a us a/c is to get the NPR public radio music app.

Have downloaded dragon it's unreal!

Downloaded pandora but it won't play in my country? I'd there a way around this?

Will check out lastfm now keep the suggestions coming :-)

Yes you can.

All you need to do is make sure your store balance is 0.00 in the irish store...then get a valid source of payment for the US. (itunes vouchers work great, can buy US ones online)
Delete irish payment option, add US one, change address to some random one in the US..and all's good
Your account will then be set to the US store. mine currently is.

You do the same when switching back (but with irish details ofc), you might end up stuck if you can't get rid of the store balance for a country (easy to solve with irish store + irish credit card to use up the last few cent on an account...) Although i think paypal may be acceptable somehow for the us store. (might just be us paypal accounts though)

But it is possible to switch countrys!
