    Surprised to see the Focus winning tbh.....the mk2 is quite average.

    I voted Golf, not that I would necessarily buy one but it is the best car in its class.

    Depends I suppose. If you need the boot :) then the Octy. Plus its cheaper too.

    On the other hand, the Golf will be that bit more refined and have a higher quality interior. Am I right in thinking that the Golf would have newer versions of the VAG diesels than the Octy or would they be the same?

    All in all I reckon the Golf is probably the 'better' car but as mentioned it depends on what you need/value in the car.

    Focus or Golf!
    Had the famous Skoda Octavia for a bit central locking failed and electric windows. The only good thing about it was the big boot! Also if you care about saftey the Golf, Astra, focus, auris all have 5 Euro n-cap stars whilst the Octavia only has 4 so if you care about your saftey. That's a big turn off!
