Volume control

I have Windows 7, where each programme has a separate volume control. The problem is, I listen to music while I'm browsing on Google Chrome, but everytime something happens, I get a message on Facebook, I go onto a website with flash, it drops the volume of Itunes to a near minimum. I'm not sure how to stop this!
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

Use vlc player or windows media player to play your mp3s instead of itunes.
