mirena coil and weight problems

    hi all, im very very down....:(
    i have been all over the internet to see if anyone else has had weight problems after getting the mirena coil fitted.
    most of the sites are either english or american and it seems to be common enough.
    im pretty much caught between a rock and a hard place.:confused:
    i had to get the coil fitted as i was having big problems with cramps and the pill was no longer working but now my weight has rocketed.
    i am doing weight watchersand watchin what i eat and exercising every day. i am so upset as i dont seem to be losing any weight and gradually gaining it since i got the coil 9 months ago.:(
    i am now thinking of having it removed as i am more upset over my weight gain than i ever was with the cramps.
    can anyone tell me if they have had the same experience.
