mobile phone booster?

    I just saw on TV3 this morning that it might be possible to boost the indoor phone signal. I am with 02 and I wondered if anybody else got a mobile phone signal repeater/booster? Does it improve your mobile phone signal inside your house?
    Do results of this signal booster vary according to where you are located in relation to a mobile phone (02) mast.
    We are in a dormer bungalow and we were thinking of putting it on our chimney to pick up a better signal.
    Anybody in 02 able to tell me where my nearest phone mast is?

    Not sure how the boosters work, can't they create problems for other mobile phone users in the area?

    I bought one on ebay.ie and works great. Works on any network .

    Non official ones are illegal, and quite possibly dangerous. Do you have a licence to broadcast on that bandwidth?
