Cheap tanning mitt/ tanning alternative

Okay, so my dog managed to find my tanning mitt this morning and has chewed her way through it (she loves eating sponge)

This is the second one in about a month so I am naturally pretty annoyed! I also resent paying 5 euro for what is essentially a bit of sponge.

Does any one know where I can get a cheap mitt? Or does anyone have any other methods of putting on tan other than your hands? I don't trust myself to apply tan with my hands only!

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Also, I use tanning mousse (incase that makes a difference!)

    Hi smoggy :)

Penny's do them but to be honest i wouldn't bother cus they only last a few tans i find that a sock is brilliant, you know the really fluffy ones you can get them in pennys they're like slipper socks i find them the best n you can throw them in the wash as much as you like

I second the slipper sock suggestion! They’re my back up for when mitts are out of action.

oooh havent tried the slipper sock but have tried a normal sock before and the tan came through it but if you had a rubber glove on under it it would work! Does the tan soak through the slipper sock.

The mitts are €3 in Penneys btw - have looked for a job lot on ebay before but no luck!

The slipper sock is a good one! if you haven't got one of them a sports sock is good because its a bit thicker!

Personally I use a big wad of cotton wool.

I'll have to get me some slipper socks! Plus, at least if the dog chews the sock (as she is known to do. A lot.) I have a back up!

Thanks for the help guys, off to pennys I go!

I use disposable latex gloves - you can buy them in pharmacies or supermarkets. No soaking up extra tan and it goes on much easier. Don't get the plastic-y gloves though they go all crinkly and loose and are a pain to use.
