i recently completed a online survey on upc,s website, i just was really honest saying ive had engineers out a few times, i feel there products a very unreliable and so forth , while they have improved slightly over the last 8 months, the introduction of more HD channels are needed big time.i get a phone call this morning from them asking to go into more detail ,so i explained about the on screen menu freeze i get from time to time, the fact that not only do i some times have to reboot my modem buy my STB also.there sky sports and movies packs are the same price as skys but are well below par in regards to the HD selection, so after about 4 or 5 mins he tells me he,s giving me my movies and sports free for 2 months .:D

edit.i should point out im not a new customer ,im with them years.

I got that when I signed up a few weeks ago. Seems the packs don't self cancel, & have to be manually cancelled.

True that. I had free Sky Sports and got charged for it when I thought it would just switch itself off. Not an issue for me as I was planning on keeping it anyway, but cheeky of them nonetheless.

No the extra packs they have given you won't automatically cancel after the two months, make sure you remember to cancel them or you WILL be charged for them.

They mounted a box on the outside wall of our house without written consent. Managed to free digital max pack for the year out of them and E25 a month off from when the free year is finished.
