Pale under eyes?

Good morning ladies, recently I have noticed that after applying my make up, my under eye area looks much paler (almost white and very noticable) compared to the rest of my face. I tried using a slightly darker shade of concealer, which I apply after the foundation, but this doesn't seem to have made a difference. Can anyone offer any insights?

    Is it the light?
Have you got dry skin there?
Is your moisturiser collecting there before you put it on?

Thanks for replying Openbake. It's a no to the dry skin and moisturiser, but you've got me thinking about the light....

It's funny I asked about the light because in one room of my house the light is really odd and makes my makeup look patchy as hell!
The best light is natural light, so head outside, bring a hand mirror and see if it's the same...

Failing that, how do you apply the foundation > if you are using a brush you might be concentrating on the eyes too much?:pac:

I know what you mean OpenBake, make up CAN look funny under different lights! I always use natural light in the morning, well in summer time anyway. It's strange, today I'm not so pale, didn't do anything different... Reckon I'll just do what I always do when my body (and face) baffle me.... blame it on the oul' hormones... :D

Really?? That's interesting.... Maybe you (and me) should try going without the concealer and see if it helps..
