Ive been using this service for the last few months & i think its very expensive. I also think its very cunningly put together to harvest as much money as possible out of people.

    • On numerous occasions i have topped up with 20 euros to find a few days later that my balance reads zero. I know now what the problem was after a few of these annoying & costly occurnences but at my expense of course.
    • Also the few times i purchased a day pass i found out that it literally is 12 hours so if you top up at 11 o'clock at night its gone by midnight, more money into their account.
    • When the 30 day pass is activated i can't seem to deactivate it when i want to start a new 30 day pass.
    • On several occasions I was unable to activate a new 30 day pass for technical reasons which would leave me with no option but to contact the annoying customer service call line & so have to repeatedly describe the problem & also recall the various numbers & codes to allow them access to my account. Tiresome.
    - Do i literally have to wait for the 30 day pass to expire before i can start another?
    - Am i supposed to get by using expensive day passes till im granted another 30 day pass?

Basically i have ploughed a lot of money into this provider & recieved only a mediocre service.

Maybe it simply isn't the service for you. You can't deactivate a 30 day pass, nor can you buy a 2nd one until the 30 days has passed. If it doesn't suit, stop using it.

I hear what your saying but my mobile phone is meteor which is why i have been reluctant to swap over to another service.

But i might just change over anyway, I can't see what the huge benefits are having meteor mobile broadband & having a meteor mobile phone sim card???

Not really a Consumer Issue as such - moved to Midband.

op i had this problem as well. I don't have a tv so any tv i watch is through streaming so i ploughed through the 7.5 gb. I stopped into meteor in dundrum just as i was passing who were much more helpful than the store i bought it from in the first place. The girl i spoke to gave me a broadband sim free of charge so when my allowance runs out on one i swap the sims and can buy another 30 day pass. She suggested i switch to the 15 gb on billpay as its €20 a month anyhow

    That sounds like good advice.
You must be a very heavy internet user by 3G standards.
Is 500MB a day a figure you are keeping an eye out for?
Do you know how much data you're using?

Sure, if you buy a one day pass at 11PM, it'll expire at midnight.
No matter what time of day you buy it, it expires at midnight.
Buy it in the morning, or wait 'til just after midnight.
Once it expires, you're paying 2¢ per MB until you run out of credit.

I presume you need to activate a new 30 day pass before your last one has expired simply because you've gone over your download limit. Billpay options will be better for you than prepay, but realistically do you have any options that don't involve a mobile phone company ? Two sims is a good compromise and it's not much trouble to just swap them over.
