i got one in march its a savage, i have shot 12 foxes with it since, it killed all but one clean, one dropped and i gave him a second round never had a runner, i have used it out to 140 yards and it has killed them no problem, but if foxes are your main thing i would go 223/204 or similar, im changing myself, more than likely in the new year. it all depends on your use

Using the above myself, Cant fault it at all. Just Make sure you buy a decent scope.. Managed to pic up some hornady's for mine the weekend and there a fantastic round.

+1 on Japs reply, ok to about 120 on charlie, but for extra distance and a more dedicated foxing calibre, check out, .22 hornet, .204, .223, 22-250, .220 swift etc... If for more crows and magpies and the likes then a .17HMR is a dinger and very flat shooting;)

Waiting on a substitution to cz Mag at the moment.

Spent weeks researching and finally opted for the mag mainly for reasons of bullet weight.

They seem to carry the most thump for a rimfire.

    I'd say go for it.

I have a CZ .22 wmr and love it. I was thinking about changing for a .223 for a while but reconsidered as the mag is very cheap to feed, great for bunnies and will sort Charlie out up to 120 yards if the nut behind the butt has the shot placement!:p

IMHO its a cracking round for vermin. I'd say go for it dude.:D
Don't forget to post a few pictures if you get it;)
