Hey people ive a friend looking for a laptop shes willing to spend up to €600 for one.
It will mainly be used for surfing, Microsoft word not into gaming.

she wants plenty of storage, fast as possible and as big a screen as she can have.

the biggest option is she wants to buy it from a store and not online unless its a Dell.

B&U is not the place for you! Off you go...

And at that price I'd be looking for a Core i3 laptop, possibly 17" though Dell's prices have shot up since the introduction of the ix lines :o

TBF tha aldi one would probably be more than enough for her needs. The 3yr warrenty especially is a good thing to have particularly if not computer savvy.

Have in mind though the 17inch is a heavy, most definately unportable machine.

The only thing going for it is the 3 year warranty.

Still, for a novice it's more than adaquate.
