Is it possible to export Meat products to the USA.

Im thinking of selling a type of meat via ebay to buyers in the USA.

Will the USA borders agency allow it. Iv been searching and cant find any info on it. Its meat you buy in a shop and its sealed.

You will probably find it very hard to sell any Irish meat to the US due to strict restriction on European Meat into the US because of the BSE scares.

    http://www.aphis.usda.gov/import_export/animals/animal_disease_status.shtml

The above website is your best bet to find out what Meats are allowed.

That is irrelevant Ebays terms and conditions here.

The US have restriction on Importing and Exporting Food products. So regardless of Ebay allowing it the US may not allow the importing of Irish Meat into the US as per the OPs question.

So no need to SHOUT next time their chief.

All their stuff come from the Galtee factory in the US. Read their FAQ. They do send in the Pigs from here but they are processed in the US and made into the Products stateside. So their meat would all go through the checks.

It is possible to sell meat in there once you follow proper guidelines. But the website I provided shows what meats are and aren't allowed into the US and it also tells you what products are and aren't allowed.

As far as I know from my own experience the food has to be processed stateside but the OP will find his answers in all the websites provided.

Edit: I got it wrong they dont import the Pigs at all. They just import the bacon. The sausages are made stateside. Means they use US pigs for their sausages and import bacon.

I never said they did, the guy said
YOU CAN'T SELL FOOD ON EBAY!!... FULL STOP
And I was correcting that statement since obviously you can buy food on ebay, I have done so myself.
