Ok we have a CME associated with a strong M-Class solar flare which occured on August 7th heading for Earth.

From Spaceweather.com: ''The solar eruption of August 7th might affect Earth after all. Newly-arriving data from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) show a CME heading our way with a significant Earth-directed component.''

A slight risk but worth keeping an eye out all the same!

Fingers crossed anyway. Just keep an eye on the Kp index.

Also for the persied meteor shower this is quite good!

    ITS A METEOR/satellite radar! :)

Listen out for a "ping"....and thats something shooting across the sky.

I class it as a sonar tough rather than a radar.

Never mind. Kp index is currently only at 1 currently... sigh

Maybe next time eh? It's still worth going out to have a look at the meteors!

You'd want to be about as far north as Iceland to see any Northern Lights tonight lads.

Were going to have to wait for a decent event again to get a lightshow down here. The good news is chances will increase over the next couple of years.
