I'm looking at Toshiba laptops atm and am getting mighty confused.

For example if I look at the Toshiba Satellite range I've the option of:
    • Satellite C650 series
    • Satellite C650D series
    • Satellite L650 series
    • Satellite L650D series

If I just narrow it down to one of those - the Satellite L650 series I then have the option of:
    • Satellite L650-1CP
    • Satellite L650-19P
    • Satellite L650-12Q
    • Satellite L650-18M
    • Satellite L650-1DG
    • Satellite L650-19W
    • Satellite L650-18R

At this point my brain explodes and that's just narrowing the selection to one series.

Does Toshiba have a naming convention that can be quickly decoded? i.e. does the C and D in Satellite C650D mean anything? Does D stand for Dual-Core?
Likewise does the 1CP in Satellite L650-1CP mean anything other than naming a specific model?

Essentially I'm trying to find a short-but by being able to tell from a model name some useful that would mean I don't then have to wade through the technical specifications of all the options and narrow down my research.

I guess from the lack of response that Toshiba just name their laptops randomly.
    Oh well.......
