PAYE Anytime/Claiming Tax

    I've a question regarding PAYE Anytime and Claiming Tax;

    I have just finished college and have had a part-time job for the last 4 years.
    At the beginning of my stint working I was on emergency tax which I soon claimed back. Since then I have been working fairly regularly without a thought about any tax I was being charged. However I do know that i have not earned enough to be taxed.

    Last week I set up a PAYE Anytime account online.
    Now, I see a figure which seems a tad too good to be true so I'm not getting myself excited about it but am wondering if I am entitled to perhaps a percentage of it.
    To those who are familiar with the website, it reads the following;
    Under the tab '2010' there are two Headings which come under 'Claimed'. These are PAYE Tax Credit and Personal Tax Credit. As I go along the tab I read 'Gross relief Due' as the heading and a sizeable sum underneath, for both PAYE and Personal Tax Credit.
    After clicking into either of them I am asked would I like to claim the Tax. However, after clicking yes I cannot click 'submit' or any button of it's sort. There is a message on the bottom left-"Tax Credit Status: You are currently claiming this credit", despite me ever contacting the revenue on the subject.

    Is this done automatically when I set up PAYE Anytime?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank You

    Those are the 2 basic tax credits everybody gets once they are in PAYE employment. Once Revenue inputs an employment on record for you, they automatically allocate these credits to you.

    They are a relief against tax payable, and are non refundable for cash. Also the tax credit amounts are restricted to tax due.

    Hope this is helpful:)
