I'm not talking about enough money to never have to work again type stuff. Just whatever it'd take to make an impact on your day-to-day life, whether that's to clear your personal debt and let you start enjoying your full pay packet every month / to buy your first car / move out of home / free yourself from a negative equity mortgage / whatever.

For me, it'd be 25k to clear all traces of debt and leave me free to start saving a deposit.

€12.5k to clear my student loans and I'd be over the moon. Anybody interested, just send me a PM.

Whats the price of an election these days?
    That will be how much!

    €211,865.78.

I would take €50k though... that would make a big difference too!

    I'd say €30K.

    310K to buy my house
10k to get a new car
1k to pay off credit card

    321K please!

    €12,000.

€2,000 to clear my debt and €10,000 more and I'd take a leave of absence or just quit and go traveling the world with a rucksack and sandals and see where it takes me.

€40000 and I would never have to speak to someone again :)

But to change it a bit €5K , without touching my retirement fund.

Short term 5K just to clear my fcuking credit card.

    Two mortgages, roughly 230k total.

    Job done.

€100k would probably do enough to make a significant, day-to-day difference. €200k would be ideal :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,554 ✭✭✭✭alwaysadub

€20k would clear my debts and get me a new car-which i'm really in need of.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,327 ✭✭✭Sykk

Around €50k if it's to be sustainable. Any less and it would be gone on the family and holidays etc.

-€30,000 to paint the exterior of house with proper long-lasting paint (three story)
-€20,000 to re-tile roof properly instead of being forced to do emergency jobs paid for by insurance (thank you last year's storm).
-€300 to pay off my laser overdraft (credit card is clear at last thankfully).
    -€50 for a Boards membership
-No other debts thankfully (though my parents have plenty enough to spread it around)

    So €50,350 please!:)

30k to clear all debt and take a nice holiday.
And if I were really honest, another 280k to buy my house and be mortgage free. But I'd settle for the 30k :D

About €100 extra a month would do me. Have no debts to clear, so an extra €100 a month would be just nice for a couple of nice dinners out with the OH as we're breaking even at the minute with spending at a minimum.

hehe, My family would say the opposite. I have no savings and the €2,000 debt is from buying gadgets or holidays and my wages, after bills, goes on more holidays and drinking!

I think not buying a house or knocking the gf up just makes my meager salary last for more party miles. On that note, PUKKELPOP IS 1 WEEK AWAY!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 216 ✭✭Sharlovesjohn

    30k

    20k for deposit for mortgage
5k for loans mine my OH and parents,
5K For a holiday spending money and savings :)

about 50k would be nice. I'd go on a massive travelling drinking binge and wait out the recession.

Every euro makes a difference this weather.
But to change my life significantly?
I think we're talking in the region of a couple of mill to be honest.
Anything less and sure I'd clear the mortgage and so on. But it's not going to change how I live day to day. I'd just have more disposable income, nicer car, better holidays (well, a holiday!) All that would be lovely, but it would still be the same life, just a little easier.
To really change my life, I'd need the sort of money that would give me complete freedom. That's in seven figures.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,854 ✭✭✭Sinfonia

€10,000 would do it easily, although to be honest with anywhere between five and ten I could make a huge difference

    NZ50k would do.
Sort out some minor debts, have a little bit of fun, then go to a bank and see what they'll give me :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,239 ✭✭✭✭WindSock

Around 20k for the rest of my studies & rent for that time would do me fine.

jaysus there's a fair lot of ye in debt.

It's mad isn't it.. Personal debt just skyrocketed over the last few years.. Like I took out a 2k loan to buy a tv, didn't buy the thing nd apart from an ipod and a coat I lost, i'd no idea where it went. Same with car loan, got at extra 600quid for the sake of it.. Retarded retarded retarded.

Glad I got so burned when I was young though.. Definitely learnt the value of money in the last couple of years paying it all off!

About 10 to 15 Million Euro.

I did work out how I'd spend €10,000,000 a few years back, you could even buy a house for that money at the height of the CT but I was pricing more like 5Mill for one, then staff ~ now we seriously see money drain away.

My health care items, the USA have some fantastic schemes but they do cost so I'd only be able to get the basics done.

No point in having wealth if you can't walk to the beach.

And of course, have money to invest and try and draw interest on that would maintain the running costs ~ like my fishing boat cost €40 a summer in Passage West but my €5 Mill yacht costs €3,000 a month at that new inner harbour pier ...

Hmmm, need to revise that figure already ... let's say ....

jaysus there's a fair lot of ye in debt.

I'm not in debt, but the cash would see me through comfortably enough for the next 2 years if I lose my job, which I probably will.
