Google Pedometer - Accuracy

    Hi Folks

    Just a question regarding Google Pedometer. i am new to running. i don't have a garmin, so i am using Google Pedometer to get my distances when out running. Some of my routes are particularly remote.
    Last Saturday i completed a run that was 8.87miles according to Google Pedometer but having then drove the route in my car it turned out to be 9.3 Miles.

    Which in people's opinions is best to use. Drive the route first if possible or is Google Pedometer normally accurate.

    Neither method is likely to be entirely accurate, however, I would say that Google pedometer might be slightly more accurate than your car's odometer.

    IMO mapmyrun.com is more accurate and easier to use than google pedometer
