What arts and crafts can you make to decorate a flat?

See http://www.lushlee.com for many examples of what talented crafty people can do with a room (and more).

You can make hangings and cushions from fabric, shelves and small furniture from card and papier mache, buy second-hand furniture and paint it, make lampshades from card or paper, paint tromp l'oeil or mural images on the walls, or stencil/stipple/rag roll etc. Make felted or clip rugs (if you have loads of patience!).

A lot depends on what your skills are, what materials/tools you have, what effect you are going for.

Don't forget to do it all without the landlords permission. Every artist must have their controversies.
