Does anyone have any experience with Ryanair and changing names?

Booked a flight for a relative - I booked it under 'Ann', but it is actually Anne'.

Are Ryanair gonna stiff me for 100euro? Or would they be more reasonable about adding in one letter?

from reading previous threads with similiar issues and typos they probably won't charge you. give me a buzz and see.

personally i doubt theyll even care about the whole ann / anne thing at the gate but better safe than sorry i guess.

They changed a typo for me for free, but if it's a name change then you have to pay

Yes, just ring them. I can imagine for one letter they would change it for you.

How about if I am listed as MR instead of Ms on one of the flights??
Will they be okay with that or do I have to contact them??

I have a problem similar but far worse!

the itinerary ryanair sent me has the passenger down as: ms suzanne ryan adt this name is actually my mothers who is the cardholder, i am nearly 100% certain i wrote my name in the passenger slot!

does anyone have any advice on what to do? i plan on ringing their reservations hotline in the morning to see if they will change it? im a student and really cant afford to fork out €100 when the flight was only 80! not to mention how mad my mum will be!

    any ideas??
    help!

For a large change like that, unless your name happens to be Suzanne also, you're going to have to pay the full change fee.

Ditto, been in this situation before....it's not technically a name change, it's a type.

Furthermore, If you had somehow gotten a 'Z' into 'Mark' then they might raise an eyebrow but the lack of an 'E' on Anne, doesn't draw much attention.

Good news guys, rang ryanair this morning and they said because i called within 24hrs i only had to pay €10 for the change! phew!!!

    ROME HERE I COME!

Must be a fairly big change in policy there.

A relative booked flights for myself and my wife last week and booked in her married name (not her maiden name, as on her passport). He rang up and once we faxed the marraige cert through to them, they changed it without charge.

    Fair play
