    Hey there,

Just looking for info re an insurance claim for a friend.

She damaged her engagement ring at the weekend in so far as the claw and the diamond broke off the ring. Both the claw and the diamond are missing and she has searched high and low for it.

Just wondering if she should tell the insurance company what really happened.... Could they say the ring was faulty and not pay out.... or should she jsut say she lost the ring altogether?

Personally I think honest is the best policy but knowing insurance companies in this case is it the right way to go?

    Any advise greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

you should always tell your insurance company the whole truth (it's fraud otherwise!). a lot of people will fudge the truth slightly to ensure their claim is paid out....
