I was wondering if anybody has one of these, there are plenty on the net but none seem to say if they are bus powered. It would be handy to get rid of the a/c adaptor for my firewire soundcard which is bus powered, but only with 6 pin.

not 100% on this but i think the power features of firewire don't work when its through an express card, this used to be the case at least.

You can buy this in Maplins for e40. It has the TI chipset that seems to be so important from what I've read. I was going to pick one up but if the bus power doesn't work then I don't see the point personally.
