New pickups for Epiphone Vintage g-400

    Hi,
I was thinking of upgrading the pickups in my Epiphone Vintage g-400 as its tone just isn't doing it for me anymore, but still like the feel of the guitar itself(other than its top heavy nature).
I play all styles of music so I need something versatile.
    Was thinking of these

    Anyone any experience with these.
Will I be able to achieve good clean tones as well as some heavier stuff with them?
I don't want to break the bank on this as I am not in a band and only play as a hobby

    Thanks

Are soapbars an option for you? well I am currently swearing by the tone of the Gibson p94 soapbar. They retrofit the humbucker route perfectly. They are a bit expensive 77e each from thomann. But great versatility in tone.

That price wouldn't really bother me.
I think that I am looking for more of a humbucker sound though(Have a good Fender Jap Strat to cover the single coil side of things).

I understand, I too have a fender jap strat, however The bridge p94 in my les paul jr, has clarity but plenty of bottom and crunch when its pushed given me a tone that far exceeds the strat.

I had considered one of the seymour duncan jazz humbucker pick ups for a neck pickup for my les paul jr modding project so please let me know if you buy them what you think.

    Cheers

If that is the case I might have to look into it a bit more.
I will post my thoughts on this thread when I do the upgrade.

EDIT: A combination of a gibson soapbar and a gibson dirtyfingers might be on the cards

If she's neck heavy just get a suede backed strap. Works great.

Here is a sample of my p94, first in clean with the tone at half way. Then with a blues overdrive. I'm playing through my Vox DA5
