    BIG BAAAAANNNNG!!!!

Great nights boxing put on by dolphil. We seen knockouts, upsets, great performances, Ireland first female pro boxer Christina McMahon who debuted with a flawless performance, Dean Byrnes first fight on Irish soil, willie casey bangin his way to a euro ranking.
40 quid for 10 fights. Well well worth the money.

Was gutted I didn't get to go, seemed like a great little card when it was announced and seemed to have turned out that way.

Glad to hear Casey and Byrne performed so well, hopefully Byrne can get another fight on Irish soil before he heads back to America. What happened with Waldron lads, was the other guy just better ?, or had a big punch ?

Waldron was up 3-1 takin home advantage into account goin into the 5th, but even though the latvian looked more tired, he gained a bit of energy after a couple of good shots, he carried this momentum into the 6th and two rib-shots was enough to take Waldron out. waldron deserved to have it go to points, where he probably would have lost by one, due to the first knock down in final round.

fair play to christina mcmahon, but well, her opponent didn't even have standard boxin gear, not sayin that that determines a quality boxer, but i don't think she figured christina would be as strong, i don't think she knew what she was gettin herself into. christina stopped punching above neck half way thru second, latvian cornered from early round 1.

willie casey has some momentum fightin, didn't stop comin at this opponent, read an interview with him where he talks about watchin mccullough, can see similarities there. VK you think he should have followed through on his attacks more?

    dean byrne great prospect.

gavin prunty's opponent? a messer, don't know what to make of that fight

interesting, I had Waldron losing every round except the fourth. Where was that ram-rod jab we saw against Power?

Completely static and didnt slip a punch all night - very dissapointing.

McMahon's fight was a joke - yer wan was in surf shorts, t-shirt and jogging trainers. Should have been stopped in the first.

cant fault Willie - yer man took serious punishment. But the Casey Crew (as entertaining as they were) are going hurt his career if they create issues at venues like that again. There wasnt any unruliness or "bad" behaviour but you know what I mean.

Deano is class - limited to one handed that night - but class.

Greaves is always like that - made Prunty look like a novice at times.

Specially mention for Finbarr Eade - he was like a demon getting into the ring, he was like a demon in the ring, he was like a demon getting out of the ring.

Good guy and a great performance.

i think u're prob right about the scoring i just felt that bein at home waldron did enough. but sure he was carryin more fat than he should have. latvian was far leaner - i was surprised he tired in 3rd and 4th.

didn't get there in time for eade.

greaves lost to prunty 40-36 but acted as if he could take prunty whenever he wanted, but he never tried. twas a strange one.

Thats Greaves game - lose looking well = increased bookings. I've seen him fight a good few times over here.
