What type of market stalls in your opinion do you think sell best? eg. food, toys gifts etc.

Would depend on many factors really. Type of market, location, time of year, what other stall holders at that market sell.
For instance if you sell fireplaces in June in an area where the majority homes were built in the last 5 years and someone on one side of you is selling t-shirts and sunglasses and on the other side of you someone is selling ice-cream I doubt you will have a great day.

very tough for a market stall to compete with giant dept stores and supermarkets when it comes to price ,esp online retailers with even lower overheads
