As the subject title says, Flash has been ported to the iPhone, apparently it's on Cydia now.

    Instructions here
    http://www.iphonedownloadblog.com/2010/08/08/how-to-easily-install-frash-on-your-iphone/

Basically add the following repo to Cydia
    http://repo.benm.at/

then search for and install Frash

Has anyone tried this yet? I'm on holidays and don't have any 3G to try it out. Great addition to Cydia/jailbreaking if it works.

    Didn't work for me 3gs 3.1.3

    Keep getting 'unexpected error'

    Bah, who needs Flash?

    *runs for cover*

But seriously, do people really need it that bad that they are willing to Jailbreak their iPhone?

Works a treat on iPhone 4, 4.0.1. RTE Player doesn't work yet as confirmed above.

I think for the current build of frash, it's not worth it to jailbreak your iPhone - but once it is fully stable and working I would say it will be the reason the majority of people jailbreak there device.

It opens up alot more content on the iPhone, for sites that have not ported to HTML5 - video sites in particular when that build is released.

Having owned iphones since they first came out.. I can't remember the last time I loaded a page to find I can't view it due to flash. I see no need for it and I can understand why Jobs and most web developers are against the use of flash.

I think most people will be doing a restore before long because flash has slowed down the phone!

For the iPad - I can see a need for flash. Not really for the iPhone though.

RTE Player alone makes flash worthwhile for me, unless they have plans for a HTML5 conversion on the immediate horizon that I haven't heard about.

I can live without flash on the iPhone but I'm getting an iPad soon and would consider RTE player a must have for a tablet device, once Frash is updated to allow video content it going to make jail breaking almost a mandatory part of iphone/ipad ownership.
