    Hi,

I was just wondering whether any of you that have attended SSC could tell me how long you waited to get surgery? I injured my knee during gaelic match & was told by A&E Doc'd that i had just strained the muscles  but after several incidence of my knee given way by simple moves i knew i needed to get 2nd opinion. Went to see ortho surgeon locally who after several tests told me i had torn my ACL, PCL and cartilage and needed surgery on at least the ACL & cartilage. He doesn't do the ACL surgery and referred me to SSC to Dr Ray Moran approx 3wks ago. Just like to have rough idea how long it might take.

Yes but i was unable to get a definate answer as his secretary wasn't available & receptionist was unsure of the waiting list of the particular surgeon. So i have emailed the secretary now so hopefully i'll get word in the next few days. If not i will ring again this week. Rather have a rough idea to book off work etc

yes - i have had my operation and all! you need to be referred to SSC via your G.P or a consultant in ur local hospital. The waiting list is approx 3-months from when they recieve your referral. I'm unsure of cost as I have insurance but I think its approx 3,500e for everything including MRI. Would reccomend SSC without any hesitation - very professional and efficent!
