The Wilsons are decent. Some MD stuff isn't bad either. Failing that, a second hand Odyssey.

The putter is the most personal club in the bag so I would recommend that you go to McGuirks or similar and have a look at the models on offer and see which type and style suits your preference. If it is an expensive model such as a Scotty Cameron or Odyssey, you will generally be able to pick up either a second hand model or a copy from other manufacturers such as MD Golf etc. who make solid equipement.

I bought a Ping Karsten Series putter new in McGuirks for approx €80 and it is better than putters that I have used that have cost much more. The consistency is amazing and the feel and feedback is excellent. Also, this particular model has chalked up wins on the PGA & LPGA tour so it is great value for money. Also look on Adverts.ie or Ebay for 2nd hand models. I would also recommend that you go for 32-34 inch depending on your height as a shorter shaft gives you more control and helps you ensure that your eyes are over the ball at address. I'm 6ft and I use a 33' shaft.

    Hope this helps.

BTW: IF you are in Dublin, I have a Guerin Rife "Mr beasley" putter with new grip and black finish. The sole shows some general wear and tear on the black finish but it is a quality putter made from Carbon steel. If you go onto their website, you should be able to see the style as it is a half-mallet.

What's with the attitude? And what's with your typing in caps? It's annoying.

    To the OP
I've had a few putters down through the years. Favourite 2 were an Odyssey 2-Ball and a Taylormade Rossa. You probably would have to buy second hand but nothing wrong in doing that. You'll get a better putter for your €70 if you take the second hand route.
