This challenge is to provide an image which contains a wheel/wheels.

As well as the obvious car/bike opportunities- here are some other examples- the first being the very fine ‘Harry’s Hoop’ by Leche Solara(recently posted on the Random thread).

    x8toj.jpg

    15qtft5.jpg

    2cp9a3k.jpg

    The rules:
*Photos must be posted within 2 weeks of the day the task was set – the closing time/date is 8pm on Sunday 22nd August 2010.
*No old photos. Only photos taken with this task in mind qualify.
Therefore, the photo must be taken after 8pm on the 8th August 2010.
*Photos must be on the given task.
*ONE photo per post. Submit as many posts as you like.
*C&C to be encouraged - but be nice about it!
*Stretch yourself – there is no limitation to what you can do to produce the image.
*The next task/subject is to be chosen by the person who has the most thanks after their post at the closing date/time(the post must include a photo).

    Best of luck!

Couldn't make up my mind between the front wheels or the back wheels. Thought at first that the back wheels looked better, but now am not so sure...

I think so too - the line leads your eye in nicely.

Definitely leads the eye in, but the saddles are always at different levels which destroys the symmetry.

I think that's what makes it - like bumps in the road - can't be too smooth ;)

Not mad about the idea of a person trying to win a challenge they set themselves ( in fact I hope that is prohibited by the rules- if not it should be).

Stopped this evening for the first time in a pub called McEvoy's in Hazelhatch and just could not resist!

I know some people don't like to see pics with kids, but hey, I think these are relevant, and better than the numerous ones I took without the kids :D
Sure they could do with cropping or other stuff too, using someone else's computer but if you suggest I'll try and figure how to do it :D4880148709_9cea5de69c_z.jpg

Nice photos from Stradbally but you should read the first post - ie the rules - especially the bit about old photos.......

Are they tyres, or wheels? Maybe you had a few too many at McEvoy's to tell the difference?

"A solid disk or a rigid circular ring connected by spokes to a hub, designed to turn around an axle passed through the center."

It helps when the person who sets the theme understands it a little, I don't think it fits the theme at all, it definitely isn't a wheel........................................ :p

I am disappointed but somehow not surprised by Pete's mean-spirited comments( and cannot fathom why such a truly talented photographer has be so insulting and personal in his barbed remarks).

    Wheel definition includes..

'A rolling or revolving body; anything of a circular form; a disk; an orb'

Not valid without dictionary definition :D

Gy-ro-scope; rotating mechanism in the form of a universally mounted spinning wheel that offers resistance to turns in any direction
