    hey there

i took some lovely photos at christmas time when we had the heaps of snow and freezing weather and wanted to change some of them into canvas pictures. i have never done this before so just not sure how sucessful it will be, i know there is a place down in the tesco shopping centre that seems to change them over into canvasses, have never enquired even how much it costs or anything, just passed by it a couple of times.

just wondering if anyone has used this service in the shopping centre or is there any where else that could be suggested. dont wanna spend and arm and a leg on it,there only just gonna be to hang in the bedroom or that.

    thanks
    amy

I have used updone.com in the past to get a few canvas's made from photographs. The quality of the ones I got done are excellent, and at the time they were a lot cheaper than any of the local stores and most other websites doing the same thing. I have no idea how competitive their prices are now though, as it is two or three years since I have got anything printed by them.

    Probably worth a look anyway!

cool thanks for that. what was the turn around like getting them done online? did it take long for them to be sent out to you can you remember?

Just got one done with PhotoBox took about two weeks to arrive, but there was a sale on, and they did mentioned the lead time before we placed the order...

We were quite happy with it, looks excellent.

I would recommend contacting Steve at 360-dpi.com he is a boards member (stcstc)and he will advise you as to what is best for your image. I do a lot of canvasses but I have a feeling he could offer you something a lot more suited to your image, a wrapped mdf for example. I am just not mad on canvas prints of scenery I think they are most suited to portraits.
