    Are these decent cars? reliable?

Was thinking of getting one of these or an 05 Megane. Whats the best option?

What should I be expecting to pay for these with reasonable mileage?

I've had 2 Meganes from new, an 04 Dynamique 1.4 petrol and an 06 Dynamique 1.5 diesel ( which I still have) A good solid car which is easy to drive and is comfortable even on very long journeys. A good level of spec on the Dynamique.

On the down side, I had problems with the window regulators on both, they were done under warrenty. I only had the 04 for 2 years so the regulator was the only problem I had with that. On the 06 however, as well as windows I have had to fit a new set of fuel leads in the engine bay, a new reversing switch just 2 months ago ( the rev lights and beeper weren't working and would not have passed NCT on the lights) and just as the weather got warm in May, the air con failed. Have been quoted about 600 to fix, so Feck that.

If I was looking for a cheap comfortable car , I might consider an 05 Megane but would never buy one new again.

BTW, try to stick to diesel, the 1.4 guzzles petrol. You'd be doing well to get above 33/34 mpg.
