Replacing rimless lenses on frames bought online?

I have bought the glasses below online. They are a copy of the Kazao Kawasaki 704 style made famous by Sarah Palin.

They were much cheaper because they are a copy, but now I'm thinking that it may actually turn out very expensive to to replace the lenses. I am -5 in both eyes. Does anybody know how easy/hard and how expensive it may be to replace the lenses? Thanks

Yup easy peasy from my store you could reglaze that style of frame from €130 for high index 1.67 lenses or €200 for 1.74 lenses with free p&p. I have a Nidek ME-1000 glazing machine. It can be seen here working http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGv6dQhtk2E. This machine is purpose built for rimless glazing

Excuse my ignorance, but what is reglazing? The glasses I have bought online don't have my prescription, so does that mean reglazing isn't an option?

Reglazing is the term used when a person asks the Optician to put their new prescription into their old frames. Glazing is the process of cutting lenses to the shape of the frames chosen by the customer. Does that make sense?

OK, I get it now. But you can cut the lenses to the exact shape already in the frames?

It looks pretty straight forward. Sent you a PM.

You could take them into Specsavers in the GPO. They charge €90 for the reglaze and the 1.74 lenses that endplate talks about are only €120.

GPO is a long way from Galway for CyberDave anyway I think you will find that my 1.74 glazed into a rimless is cheaper. Your charging €210 compared to my €200 and you don't have to travel to Dublin twice. Welcome to boards NDB btw.
