UPC Broadband Connection

I've moving into a new apartment, and it is prewired with a UPC/NTL connection. I want to get broadband over this (presuming it is available in my area). I've never had an account with UPC before. Does an engineer need to call out to do anything or is it just a matter of switching the signal on? How long will this take from time of ordering?

I would ring them myself, but don't have all the details of the new apartment to hand, and am I keen not to be without internet for long.

    Cheers.

Only took a few days for them to get it installed in my apartment. I dont think you can self install the broadband as it requires the engineer to be on site.

you can not book a self install as the cable service would need to be switched on. If there is o live account at the address UPC consider the address to be inactive and in need of a tech call out
