    Hi,

I've been invited to a wedding afters and have no idea what colour of shirt to wear with a pair of light grey dress trousers.
I'll be wearing a black belt and black shoes also if that makes any difference.
    Thanks.

I'd wear white, definitely. Also tried light pink, but white looks a way better. however, it depends on the type of grey.

I wear white, pink or purple/lilac with my grey trousers.

Depending on how light your trousers are, I'd be going for something like this, this or this with 'medium grey' trousers - But then, if they're really light grey trousers, you may be best off sticking to something lighter.

*Only used TMLewin because I was already browsing - M&S have some quite nice shirts in there at the moment too. Lewin's sales are rather fantastic though :)

Well, OP are you male or female? I'm going to assume male here.

Most shirts can go with grey, but unless you want to look like you just took off your tie after a day in the office, i'd advise not light blue. Navy can look great, but you really cant go wrong with white. Make sure it's a shirt designed for wearing without a tie- that is, with a decent collar that wont pancake out.

    Thanks everyone

Thought about brown shoes with the grey trousers??
Is that a no-no or can it be pulled off ok?
White shirt could look good alright....i got the trousers in M+S so i might look there for the shirt as well

It depends. It can be pulled off, again, it depends on the colour of the trousers, and make sure you've a similarly coloured brown belt. Tbh though, at a wedding, I'd be sticking to black.

Debenhams have some lovely shirts, I would go light pink.
