I fancy Burnley as well, home advantage is a big one here - if McKenna doesn't make it, Forest will miss him a lot and I think Forest may have a slow start to the season like like year. Forest's home form is super usually though, but I think they may run into problems here. Also I think they new full back they have got on loan for Chelsea (Ryan Bertrand) is going to make his debut today so may be a little unsure / uncertain at the back.

Forest are an extremely good team, and it's the first game of the season. It's not buying money at all!

Did Burnley lose many players? They never really got going under Laws?

Hmm, I dunno.. Whos in charge of Pompey now? did they lose everyone?

Guys McKenna and Tyson are fit for this and majewski is on the bench so it looks like the injuries have not depleted Forest too much. Fancy a draw for this one maybe.

This is the only game beating my treble today :(

Took 3 games over 2.5 goals.....should have put more thought into it because Forest were a solid team last season and didn't concede too many.

No you wouldn't have looked like an eejit if you lost

This is the gambling forum people post up and lose all the time

It is against the charter to post up after the event to say you have won because that is just boasting and no one likes that

If you have the balls to put money on the line then you deserve credit for it but wont get any if you say it after the event

Please don't post up after the event again if you haven't already stated your bet, you will get banned for it

There is currently an aftertiming thread in the main forum for this type of thing and it required screenshots as proof, how long that thread remains is the subject of some debate but for now use it, posting after the event anywhere else will earn you a ban

Quick question - is there a debate going on over it? I thought everything was fine and dandy in here! :)

Well a lot of people don't like the after timing thread, after timing is explicitly forbidden in the charter

But we are trialing the After timing thread and seeing if it reduces it in the rest of the forum

I for one would rather change the charter to allow it in on thread than to have to ban people that do it without realising it is an offence but if the thread doesn't reduce it in the rest of the forum then it will probably be done away with

I get the whole superstitious thing about a big bet. But if i am going to mention a big win after the fact you can best believe i'll be posting a screenshot.

I am going to start getting strict on that in the after timing thread, don't want people pulling the piss

    quick question recliner,
i have a log,and sometimes i "have to" provide a screenshot for one reason or another,
just wondering is it ok if i still do...
dont want to be banned or anything..
    thanks

Screenshots are good and to be encouraged, I think the logs should get a bit of leeway in regard to aftertiming because it is the person who keeps the thread who is posting it

Basically what we are trying to prevent is people going into threads with the express purpose of boasting after the event

if someone has the courage to put there bets out there beforehand then they shouldn't have to worry about that, I think you are ok with your log

Oh wait I misread your post first, recliner.

Yeah it's only fair. If you say you win after all bets have come in and didn't post before hand you should take it to the after-timing thread regardless of whether the persons intentions are to boast or not. Otherwise this forum just becomes a dick measuring contest without ever having to get it out.

Which is basically the point of this forum as far as I'm concerned.

Recliner - I was once banned from this forum(for a week) for referring to a football team by a slang name (no swearing or anything)....maybe a way forward(depending on what you's decide to do with aftertiming thread) would be to ban(few days/week or whatever) anyone who breaks this rule

With the exception of the After timing thread after timing is against the charter everywhere else (again logs get leeway) and will result in bans, the charter is quite clear about this and this will be enforced
