I have two dressing gowns. I have a lovely black one from La Senza and another from Dunnes (purple). Pennys does really nice ones too.

The two that I have have hoods too and they are so warm they are made out of fluffy warm material. (not the type of towel material that you get in hotels)

I am currently wearing a lovely fleecy style robe from La Senza. I'd also recommend Marks, they do amazingly soft and warm robes there in the underwear dept.

thanks so much! will check out the stores. any tips for good wool coats? or what can you recommend for the winter to keep me warm?

I find the wool coats in Zara pretty good for the price, definitely keep me warm. Sisley/Benetton also do affordable good quality warm wool coats but they are a bit more classic in style. Personally I'm dying for the navy wool coat Zara have at the moment but I can't justify it.

If you are really super cold, a ski jacket does the job though looks a bit crap cause they are so bulky. I was glad of mine in the snow last year tho.

Search online for good quality kimonos. Get one that is a proper length, ankel length rather then those itsy bitsy psudo kimonos. Even the lightweight cotton ones are supprisingly warm for spring/autumn though if you really do feel the cold you should try to get one of the quilted ones (much harder to find).
