Thats fine and all but i hope they provide some sort of guided Ramp access or a walk around of an Aircraft if possible, i wont be there but its just a thought im sure it could be done, remember Shannon had done this before although it was more of an Airshow it was well done.

Well im thinking they wont as its from 7pm-10pm so they only aircraft that would be there would be the ATR 42 off the RE227.Now if they had access to the hangor on Apron B that would be nice....anyway ile bang a few picts of inside the tower up.

To be honest it looks like an evening to boost sales at the airport. Scanning through that press release there is mention of visiting the tower in the 6th paragraph with the majority of everything else being about shopping.

I attended this evening.it was a disaster. It was clear Knock airport did not expect the amount of people that turned up.A lack off staff ment queues went out of control and the carparking was a shambles. The tours "of the control tower" were full within 5 minutes and there was alot of angry people giving the employee in charge alot of grief.

So ALOT turned up?? Im going to guess they were there to see any Aircraft/Ramp Activity/Tower Trips rather than shop..

Alot were for shopping yes,but there was a massive queue for the Control tower tour. Will try and post a few picts.EI-CBK and G-JMAX were on the main ramp.Connaught Aero clubs EI-AOB and EI-CTT(now re-registered as N38974)were in the circut to allow the controller to show people what happens from day to day.one was doing right hand circuts, one left hand, missed approaches,go arounds, orbits etc etc...fire trucks belting up and down the runway too.you get the picture.

Id have Organised an AW139 or EC135 or CASA flyby tbh, would have been good PR for the IAC. Fire trucks could have given a Fire Tender welcome with water spray etc. Jazz it up! Hell why were at it call in R118 and do an SAR demo down the Runway with a tender, thats how the Alouette 3's did it the odd time.
