I'm a singer/guitarist with many years experience looking to form a duo to gig around the midlands. Acoustic/electric folk/rock/blues/etc. Ideally, you'll have strong vocals and some kind of rhythm or lead instrument.

Anybody in Athlone, or there-abouts, who can sing a bit and play guitar, mandolin, accordian, fiddle, melodica, hurdy-gurdy, harmonica, whatever, and wants to get out and gig as a 2-piece with another singer who plays primarily guitar but also banjo, bass, mandolin, bouzouki, whatever?

It might be great. All styles a possibility.

I know this is a old thread, but I play guitar and I am just getting the hang of banjo at the moment. I will be in Athlone for the summer more than likely. I have been playing a few gigs recently and trying to get back into the swing of things but I am looking for another dimension to the music.

I would mainly be interested in folk/country/blues.
