You would be highly advised to get no smaller than 1.2metre...have had problems with anything smaller than a 1.1metre dish..

unless you only watch TV when the skys are totally clear. Heavy cloud without rain reduces signal.

did you have a look in adverts for the dish? what i'd do is i'd ask around me who did my neighbors get to install their dish's? might be better not to ask the people with a sky dish.

the curse of being from Tipperary, iv asked around alright but no installer has the 120cm dish and to order them in which take a while and plus sat installers dont like ringing back potential customers

yeah but if you buy the dish, could you not then get an installer to install it?

Whilst a lot of installers post here, they wont reply as its seen as pimpin for business. I am not an installer so...

Nearest I can see from the sticky is Rippy. http://www.signalsolutions.tv/?page_id=16 but that may be too far away. I see he has a Triax 110 which might be too small, but he may have more or might be able to suggest someone else.

For the Mods: I am wondering if it would be an idea to set up a sticky for installers only broken down by province and showing the counties they cover (rather than one with sat shops abroad). Obviously the installers who go to the bother of actually responding to peoples queries. It seems to the most asked question on this part of the board... where can I find an installer in x. I dont see the harm in it as if people dont get good service then they can post as such or if its a repeat problems then they just get removed from the listing.

Only if it's a quality dish and bracket.

Do they have a forum here Watty ?

I know ISAA have a map, but not all counties are covered.
I know the website, but not everyone would. Just amazing the amount of the same questions that come here.
I thought it might be genuine reason for a sticky rather than be a seen as a pimp list.

Your biggest problem is knowing what size bracket you will need to actually mount the dish on, and if you can receive a signal from 16east which is extremely difficult in the first place...

Obviously installers down there must be snowed under with work if they can afford to leave their phones switched off!!
