Medion is not a bad brand.

Checked Elara, and came up with 2 that were of the same spec and cheaper. There was one thing I noticed different, though, and that was that they had a "ATI Radeon HD 3200" instead of a HD 5470.

Komplett had a few under that price with a
    HD 4330.

They're meant to be good. Medion are meant to be very good (have bought Medion stuff, and never got any hassle).

medion is not a bad brand...ok their styling might be something to argue about but they deliver top end product at a cheaper price than any other OEM...

if u look at their newspapers they tell you what parts are inside and their all by respected manufacturers.

even microsoft sticks a few medions on presentations when their presenting new products and pcs

the unit gets shipped off somewhere to get fixed so you will be missing laptop for one - two weeks which is not good

Most laptops have to be sent away for repair I would have thought, where the hell can you get a laptop and have someone come out to repair it if you have an issue? If its true I'm definitely going to by my next computer from them!

    Two weeks isn't bad.

You'd be surprised at how many people want the cheapest laptop. Sure, if you want to spend more, you could get someone to come out the next day and fix it, but it'll cost you.
