I got an iphone 3gs in December off Vodafone,

Two week ago it started to vibrate non stop, tried restoring it, no good.
Brought it into vodafone in swords for repair, two weeks later heard nothing back so I called in today,
Guess what i was told "still in workshop for repair,Suspect liquid damaged ,out of manufactures warranty, estimate for repair 210 euro"
What aload of bull the iphone has not been near water. It's minded more that my two kids.
Is it wrong to want very bad things to happen to these people
    What are my options people?

If it's water damage, not a lot. the iphone is susceptible even to sweat, so if you used it in a gym...

Hi My mac screen on my mac broke (due to a pressure point on the screen because some one in the shop i bought it from stood on the box or something) But took it back they said i couldnt fix it uner waranty and got a quote of 700 to 800 euro to fix it. I had it for two weeks at this stage. Any way i wasn't going to spend that much money on it when the computer cost that much. but 2 years later and got it fixed a month ago by a crowd in Cork, Stream solutions, 300 euro which is respectable. I would get a quote from them cause they do iPhones and all that stuff to i think.

I got a 3GS last December on vodafone. Recently the headphone socket was a dodgy so I reported the fault on the apple website. UPS picked up the phone next day, 7 days later got a new (or recon) phone delivered to me.

Yay as my old phone was scratched to bits.

Apple should be your first port of call.

Get the SMEI number off you phone and plug it into their support site to see if you are under warranty.

Just warning before you do they will flece you. when my screen broke they also tricked me into buying the protection plan for €150.
    Just a warning :)

Apple never tried to rip me off. Replaced two handsets (for free) with no hassle whatsoever.

The protection plan is probably an optional thing you can buy for when your 12mth warranty runs out.

Off topic and nice job there but just in case - this problem (if it was the same as mine) can often be 'lilt' in the headphone socket, its basically fluff and stuff that gathers and will stop your headphone remote working if you use a thin piece of paper rolled you can remove it or a pin will take it out too careful with the pin obviously.
