Klaxons - Surfing The Void

    Surfing The Void is Klaxons 2nd album and is due to be released 23rd of August. We've had to wait more than 3 years for their follow-up to Myths of the Near Future but I hope its worth it.

    The lead single off the album is Echoes which is being released on 16th of August. I for one am loving this track ATM. Here it is.....:D

    I've only heard Echoes so far and it's been a long, long time since I was this let down by a band. It's absolute sh*te IMO so hopefully the album isn't more of the same.

    Yup, would have to agree with that. Echoes is a huge huge let down - it sounds like something Friendly Fires would churn out in their sleep if they needed a filler track.

    Flashover is a lot better - not a whole lot in the way of progress but closer to the sound I'm hoping for from the new album.

    I was listening to an interview with them on BBC iplayer, they sounded bored. Trying to scrape what money they can from their short career perhaps. Shame.

    I will wait till I hear album to cast full opinion but first 2 songs seem ok! Nothing amazing but decent tracks.

    I like Friendly Fires too, which is why I said Echoes sounds like a filler track they may have recorded. When I heard Echoes the first time, I just thought "It's like Friendly Fires, but nowhere near as good."
