    You can turn the red ring off, however your visibility is reduced considerably, If you are looking to hit 50 to 100 ft visibility the red UV lights are essential, the ring of light isn't noticeable though, Especially when tracers, torchlight etc are considered. I haven't been caught yet wearing them!
