Not long back from a couple of weeks in the UK which included, among other things, several visits to aviation related locations. I'v thousands of pictures to wade through yet but here are just a selection to start for those that might be interested.

Just a couple from RIAT, I won't blast you with too many from there as Steyr has already covered that.

This Royal Marines linx AH.7 was doing a marines role demo at the Portsmouth Navy Days.

Went for a visit to the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop. The museum wasn't that great great but it is on the edge of the Army Air Corps Centre and that day they were pretty busy, with apaches, Gazelles and what have you coming and going all the time. Great place to go for spotting as well, but you will really need a car.

Went to the Brooklands Museum, really worth a visit. Here they have the first British production Concord.

And here the flight deck of G-BBDG. Taken through the very narrow, almost mirror like entrance to the flight deck.

Here, from London City, Speedbird 01 leaving for JFK Via Shannon.

Will add to these as I wade though the photos.

Good selection. I agree that Brooklands is very good. I was there several years ago and given its auto heritage, the venue itself is of interest nice even if you were not keenly interested in aviation.

BA's new all business class service from London City. Refers at Shannon on the way out but not on the way back.

I think it is 32 passengers paying 4k a flight. It is an airbus A318

    A few more from Brooklands.

Here the Vickers 1103 VC-10 G-ASIX and Later A40-AB. Entered service in 1964 with British United Airways and eventually sold to the Sultan of Oman in 1974 and operated in his Royal Flight until 1987 when he donated it back to Brooklands where it was built. It is now preserved in the Sultan of Oman's configuration.

There is also a galley, a state room and a board/meeting room, but those pictures came out rubbish.

A picture of the Concorde Simulator that trained most of the British Concorde pilots that is at the Brooklands Museum. If you've got the interest and money there are a couple of packages ranging from £149 to £425 that gives you the chance to sit at the controls of the simulator and take the controls for a while. The most expensive one includes Champagne reception, 3 course dinner, Concorde experience on G-BBDG and a visit to the flight deck and 2 hours on the simulator with at least 1/2 hour at the controls. All with a Concorde captain. Not bad really for an enthusiast with a few bob to spare.

First of a few from Heathrow. Not the best day for pictures, overcast and hazy, but I have done the best I can with these.
