"A rock band from Kingston upon Thames, England, formed in 2006. The band consists of Lead Singer and Guitarist Joseph Prendergast, Backing vocalist and Drummer David Catmur, Bassist Tom Coulson-Smith and Keyboardist and Sampler James Eliot-Field. Their sound has been described as “Pop songs for Rock Kids”, and is characterized by their carefully balanced mixture of heavy abrasive instrumentation and Significant Melodic Pop sensibilities which are brought together in simple but constantly progressing song structure which incorporates very raw, at times dissonant, rock instrumentation and odd time signatures.

In 2009, the band had signed a record deal with independent label Hassle Records and on 12 October 2009 they released their Debut Album Our First American Friends.

This summer they will release their new self-produced EP "Tonatiuhican" (tehs-cah-tlee-poh’-cah) on August 16th. Central to the bands song writing is the concepts and storytelling which details the EP’s meandering paths and dynamism. The songs on Tonatiuhican relate to the Aztec beliefs of time and the journeys made within the theories of time and space. The order of the songs is imperative to the listener, each one interlinked into the other - ideas of time and space woven to create a story we can go away and interpret for our own means. As well as these thought processes the band wrote and recorded Tonatiuhican whilst listening to Phil Collins’ “Hello, I Must Be Going” on repeat alongside their own bedroom demos. ‘Phil definitely helped us break barriers of rhythm syncopation and instrumentation that is going to be clearly evident in the new songs’ says Prendergast."
