Figure X.X/Table X.X

    Right,

    Writing my thesis at the moment. I have a lot of tables and maps in it. I am wondering should I name both the maps and tables Fig 1.xxxx or should I separate the two and call the tables "Table 1.xxx" and the maps "Figure 1.xxx".

    Anyone know?

    Definatly seperate, you're indentifying two completely seperate objects.

    Yeah, tables and figures are very different.
